I'm a new weaver....

I'm a new weaver of Nantucket baskets, having been weaving now for about a month. So far, I have woven three baskets, with more on my molds now. I currently own an 8" and a 6" open round mold. I am COMPLETELY enthralled with is art, and have been getting many compliments, and now requests to purchase my baskets......I learned to weave by examining baskets, watching an interesting YouTube video of a maker talk about the process, but not really showing much, and a small pamphlet from H.H. Perkins. I recently purchased your new co-authored book The Nuts and Bolts of Nantucket Baskets, which has further helped me with approaches to making these beautiful creations. Thanks to your book, I am now set on making under-lashing a standard part of my work.."; NB, July , 2016

This is an excellent reference book...

"This is an excellent reference book with lots of pictures. The back cover says it has over 250 photos and I believe it. It is great for both beginning weavers and more advanced weavers. With chapters like "Steps for Making a Nantucket Basket" to chapters on "Rims"and "Finishing the Nantucket Basket" this book has something for everyone. I have already bookmarked the chapters on "Rims" and "Handles". There are also plenty of helpful "Tips" throughout the book.
